Do you enjoy eating pork skins, pork rinds or pork cracklins? To give you a refresher course into what they are, here's an explanation of each.
Pork Rinds- Puffed pork skins that are deep-fried in temperatures between 375-400 degrees for about one minute.
Pork Skins- Depending on what part of the country you're from, they're about the same (like you say "pop", I say soda?) Get the picture?
Pork Cracklins- Fried-out pork fat with attached skin (usually up to 90 seconds) Sometimes called "Fat Back".
The pork snacks have a bacon-esque flavor and crunch and they are great whatever you do to them! Their popularity has skyrocketed due to the low-carb phenominon since the snacks have 0 (zero) carbohydrates.
What are your favorite pork snacks or you don't eat them at all?
My favorite is the pork cracklins!
