Palmer died Friday in Paris of a heart attack, according to his manager.
Palmer was 54.
According to Britain's Sky News, Palmer had been on a two-day break with his partner Mary Ambrose following a television recording session in Britain.
The British singer recorded such hits as "Addicted to Love," "Bad Case of Loving You (Doctor Doctor)" and "Every Kinda People," and became a star in the 1980s with his slick videos.
Palmer's videos for "Addicted to Love" and "Simply Irresistible" featured a sharply dressed Palmer and a bevy of attractive women -- all dressed the same and wearing the same make-up.
Palmer also formed a group called Power Station with two members of the '80s super-group Duran Duran. They scored three top-10 hits.
