Bossradio93, since you're joining my board, I will give you a link from my sister board Disney and More about how CBS-FM becomes "Jack!" CBS-FM has been an oldies authority for 33 years, but now it is gone! It was sad news that the station has updated an oldies frame work from the 70's, 80's and 90's. "Jack" is an updated oldies format. I live in Kingston, NY that "Cool 92.9" is still playing oldies due to the format change of CBS-FM since last Friday. Back when Mickey Dolenz was celebrated his 100th show at what they called it B.B. King's restruant down in New York City that they announced that at 5:00 PM, the station goes "Jack!" I know that, I heard on Allan Sniffen's comments on CBS-FM since Sunday as well as I've heard on "Board Reflections" earlier today. Oldies is now gone in New York City due to older demos and even unresponsable advertising values and the sales staff like Bruce Morrow, Dan Taylor, Don K. Reed, Bobby Jay, Bob Shannon and the others. Dave Logan was the program director at the station after Joe McCoy took over from CBS-FM last year. He was trying to update the station with the horrible jingles and the new morning host Mickey Dolenz, an ex-Monkee drummer from the 60's. I remember Harry Harrison when he does mornings on CBS-FM for years until he left in 2003 and then came back a year later until he was gone since last month. By the way, Bossradio93, I know you like the "Jack" format since KCBS-FM (formerly KKHR/KNX-FM) in Los Angeles did back a few months ago. New York City has the worst format change of CBS-FM to "Jack" at 101.1. I've never listen to "Jack" before because, this make 102.7's "Blink" format turned into a disaster. Bossradio93, here is a thread about the "Jack" format at 101.1 as posted on "Full House" and More at my link:
