Steve Feuerstein has been named morning co-host, with Karen Hunter, on WWRL (1600 AM).
Feuerstein, a 16-year media veteran, has been a substitute WWRL host for several years and has been a temporary morning co-host since July 5, following the departure of Steve Malzberg.
He is Hunter's fourth co-host in WWRL program director Rennie Bishop's search for personalities with different ideologies who can "disagree without being disagreeable."
OLDIES FANS GATHER: Listeners who want to bring an oldies format back to New York radio will demonstrate tomorrow morning at 7 when the Beach Boys play live outdoors in Rockefeller Plaza on NBC's "Today" show.
Organizers say the rally is to support oldies and deejays, not to bash WCBS-FM (101.1), which dropped oldies in June for a Jack format.
Jack is enough of a wiseguy format that WCBS-FM has been playing listener calls that protest the switch.
AROUND THE DIAL: Luis Jimenez marked his 12th anniversary Tuesday with "El Vacilon De La Manana" on WSKQ (97.9 FM). The movie version of the show will open Oct. 21. ... Vic Latino of WKTU (103.5 FM) holds the second annual fund-raiser for his Vic Latino Scholarship Fund tonight at the Ultra Lounge at the Garden City Hotel in Garden City. ...
