Here are some highlights of the first summer '05 numbers from Arbitron, released today: AC WLTW continues to reign as the 12+ champ in New York and reclaims the Middlesex crown, as AC WALK continues its run as the 12+ leader in Nassau-Suffolk. Back in the Big Apple, Urban AC WRKS shows a 4.7-5.5 gain, to move into second place, and Spanish AC WPAT moves into a tie at ninth place, with a 2.9-3.2 gain.
In Los Angeles, KIIS-FM repeats as the market champ, with Hispanic Urban KXOL leaping 2.0-4.2 to tie with Spanish AC KLVE (4.0-4.2) for second place. In Chicago, News/Talk WGN continues to hold the 12+ pennant as Hispanic Urban pair WVIV & WVIX jumps 1.2-2.2 to 18th place.
Returning to Nassau-Suffolk, Oldies WBZO bounces 2.3-3.7 into a tie for seventh place. In Middlesex, Hispanic Urban WCAA & WZAA take a 1.9-3.5 move into a tie for 10th place. In Wilkes Barre-Scranton, the Country combo of WGGI & WGGY repeat as 12+ champs. Finally, in the Hamptons-Riverhead, NY market, local Oldies WLNG goes 6.1-8.8 to claim the 12+ crown.
