This is a thread where you can discuss what's on TV tonight. Everyday, I will post what shows and specials is coming on tonight according to the Daily News. Let's start with this:
Series
8:00 (CBS) "Ghost Whisperer." Each episode of this series, which didn't exactly start from strength, has gotten more maudlin and sappy and less interesting. Jennifer Love Hewitt is a TV star with the right vehicle, but this isn't the right vehicle. CBS has renewed the series for the rest of the season, but I must be looking at a different show. I see canceled people.
9:00 (CBS) "Threshold." So I've gotten lots of mail from viewers of this show, and of "Invasion" and "Surface," and they're having the same fun I am, ranking the three new series as their sci-fi premises unfold each week. The special effects and general scriptwriting of "Surface" continue to impress me the least, though I've watched each episode and tried to like it more. "Invasion" is gaining in my estimation each week, and "Threshold" is holding firm. Which means, unless "Threshold" steps it up tonight, "Invasion" may take the lead. We'll see.
9:00 (ABC) "Hope & Faith." In tonight's episode, Faith goes under anesthesia - and reveals a very shocking secret to the dentist, who happens to be Charley.
9:00 (WB) "Reba." Here's a fast turnaround, and a daring story line: It involves displaced victims of Hurricane Katrina. Clearly, the writers of "Reba" mobilized faster than the federal, state and local governments.
9:30 (ABC) "Hot Properties." This is the second episode of this awful new comedy, and the one that opens with an endless stream of bad jokes about a dead chicken. It's enough to make you hate the show. It was enough to make me hate it, anyway.
